Random Negative Rep - Heady_Dabs - Jun 3, 2023
I just noticed I have a -3 rep from almost 4 years ago... Super odd considering I've never made a post or talked to anybody since I've made my account. Today was the first time I made a thread and noticed it. Any suggestions on what I should do about it?

There's nothing you can do about it. -rep doesn't really mean anything anymore.

Ignore it. Rep hasn't had much importance since Popularity and Business Rating were separated.

Can I get a negative popularity rating removed if it doesn’t make sense or isn’t fair?
You may contact the member that left the popularity rating in order to understand why it was left. However, you may not harass or threaten the member. Staff or Admins do not remove popularity ratings.

Has anyone actually attempted this? I can't think of someone actually doing this lol.

I've had many members contact me for leaving negative popularity. Usually it results in nothing.
Would also not recommend bothering administrators or staff members, since they have more important things to do than provide users with help desk level support for all their daily cares and needs.

Yeah, I would kind of understand if it was complete slander with the custom reps regarding that person's service. But nowadays, it does seem like it would be just using staff's time for something so minimal.

I use to get a lot of people messaging me and begging me to remove negative rep that I left for them. It's quite entertaining. I think I removed one, or two of them at most.

You could try to contact the person who gave it to you and get it removed. But really though its just -3.

Negative rep doesn't mean much, just to get you negative out of your account I will just give you +5.
