Donald Trump Indicted - Charlie Sheen - Jun 9, 2023 They found documents all over the place that Biden has had for decades. They found documents Pence had. Nothing happens. Now they indict Trump for the very same thing. I don't know all of the details and how the forfeiture of documents process works. All I see is that 3 different people were found committing the same "crime" and only 1 is indicted over it. Pence and Biden immediately volunteered to return any documents and invited law enforcement to search their properties. Trump told them he was entitled to keep them. Sadly he then ignored subpoenas from the National archives and had his attorney attest that all the documents had been returned, but they hadn't been. Trump did not invite the cops in to search like Pence and Biden did. So the FBI managed to get a judge to agree to a warrant for them to go in and seize them. None of that happened with Pence and Biden because they gave what they knew about back then invited police in to take anything they might have forgotten. I think Pence and Biden only realised the documents they had might be a problem when Trump was being looked at, so they voluntarily handed everything over. RE: Donald Trump Indicted - Bluffer - Jun 9, 2023 After watching Trump on the Full Send podcast, my opinion of him improved greatly. Although I still don't agree with a lot of his political policies he is a genuine man who genuinely cares very much about his country. The witch hunt against him is very real, and it seems this is all a huge distraction to try to silence and bury him so as to stop him from becoming President again as I'm sure this time he would expose the elitist deep state to a degree that is irreversible and would disrupt the globalists 2030 plan to a degree that they will not permit. That being said I'm very interested by what I've read in a CBC article on his indictment that states: Quote:The indictment further accuses Trump of improperly showing off these documents — to writers working on a book and to an ally in a political action committee. The actual recording is going to be extremely important here but it could be what puts him away for good. RE: Donald Trump Indicted - Itachi Uchiha - Jun 9, 2023 Driving too fast? Jail, driving too slow? Jail, Undercook chicken? Jail, Overcook chicken? It's the only thing they can use I think? They are bringing in the Espionage Act and they have more than one audio tape. The FBI have been able to use a certain type of legal exception to get Trump's confidential meetings with his lawyer because on page 33 it is claimed that he told his lawyer to destroy evidence and there is a claim that he told his lawyer to pretend he didn't have documents that he did that included US defense material---- that is one of the allegations. In order to stop him running he has to be convicted of being some kind of traitor not simply convicted of a crime. There's a recording of him saying that he could have declassified certain documents while president, but he didn't, and there are documents about defense in there. They have 37 or 38 counts they are indicting him on. Agree with everything said, certain people are claiming “Trump can declassify with his mind” which sure that’s a power that he held. But he doesn’t own those documents, “declassify” doesn’t also include automatic ownership. Those documents still belong to the government, as a civilian Trump had no right to them, he lied to investigators, lied to his lawyer, lied to his employees about these documents. Do you think he just didn't want Biden to have them? The problem with "he can declassify them with his mind," is they have an audio tape with him allegedly saying they were still classified so the people with him shouldn't see them and he could no longer declassify them. And that they should look at them form a distance because they shouldn't really be looking at them. But I think we're still waiting to hear this audio tape? I honestly doubt it had anything to do with Biden. One of the speculation is he just liked having them to brag, others are far more malicious i.e selling them to foreign adversaries. It doesn’t matter if he can declassify, once Biden was president he could re-classify anything with his mind as well. When the national archive requested them back it’s an easy “hey send those back” situation. These documents aren’t Biden’s to own, they go to the archives and stay there until needed. Everyone else complied, had their homes searched including Pence, Obama and Biden to find any lingering documents. Why not comply? Why hold on to the documents? The protocol is likely outdated especially since the Ukraine war, I imagine a lot of that information doesn’t actual matter(maybe?) If the recordings are real it proves malice over incompetence(which I would of just assumed incompetence cause Trump) likely multiple witness have already turned on Trump including the employees he told to “get rid of” documents. I don’t personally think Trump will serve any sort of sentence in prison over this, maybe house arrest or something far less than he deserves. When a former sitting president is indicted in more charges than one can keep up with it seems that there is an issue. We have time and time again seen that presidents have engaged in behavior that would be considered illegal and illicit an indictment. Many presidents have engaged in immoral conduct whilst in office but have often been brushed off and forgotten. Many presidents have even breached the Presidential Records Act of 1978 but they have no been charged as prosecutors have exercised their own discretion. Donald may not have been a perfect president but by far he is not the only one who has faults. Yes, some of what he did is potentially egregious if found guilty but if the truth came to light about other former presidents it would be considered egregious as well. I find that there is an issue with how the law is levied and that we are seeing a first-hand account of a misuse of the justice system. It is impressive that many do not see an issue with this since there has been a very large leeway with how the presidential records act is enforced as evident with previous administrations. There are also further problems with these indictments as it threatens the equality of future candidates and their status within the law. Indicting a former president raises questions about the precedent it sets for future leaders. If a precedent is established that former presidents can be indicted, it may influence the behavior and decision-making of future presidents, potentially leading to a culture of legal scrutiny and constant investigations. Perhaps the worst part of this is the optics of our government and the legitimacy of executive rule. Indicting a former president can impact the public's perception of the office of the presidency and the legitimacy of the political system. It may erode trust in democratic institutions and lead to increased skepticism and cynicism among the general public. I believe Trump set this precedent during his term. Trump investigated Obama, Hillary and Biden. Even so far as to investigate Biden’s (non-holding office) son. No one at the time talked about how “that was setting a precedent”. Obamagate, lock her up and of course calling Hunter Biden a pedophile are all things done under Trump. Anyone remember how Bill Clinton got impeached for a blowjob? No? Ok cool ig Though many Presidents have done vile things the population may disagree with we l don’t have the Intel and have to assume it was done in the best interest of America. Also yes multiple if not all recent sitting Presidents have left office while having documents located in their homes or place of business. The difference as stated a million times those people willing opened their homes to find any documents that may be missing. They didn’t lie AND conspire with staff to hide them and constantly move the location to specifically circumvent the investigation. Oh no, we’re setting a precedent that you can’t violate laws after leaving office? Boo fucking who, ex-Presidents aren’t above the law either. I honestly believe if the secret service wasn’t a thing you’d hear multiple presidents being arrested for things like drunk driving. Bro said “if we arrest ex-presidents for breaking the law that makes us look bad” -paraphrased (Jun 14, 2023 09:24 PM)The Pact Wrote: It's my understanding that he could not. I don't think you're speaking from an impartial lense. I think you like Trump which is fine. Trust has already been eroded to that extent with all the accusations about the 2020 election being illegitimate. There were 60 cases about whether it was an all failed to prove that it was. Even the one case that the Trump team won was not about any fraud it was about whether people had the right to "cure their ballots" and it's my understanding that this meant if they'd made a mistake on their ballot and spoiled it they could not correct it as some people had done and so those ballots were thrown out. The ballots that were thrown out ended up making no difference in that county which Biden still won after they threw out those people's ballots. Now the Republican House are attempting to investigate the Biden's involvement in the Ukraine and Trump may be indicted in Georgia and also over January 6th. Since all the other cases they had lined up have led to indictments I will be surprised if Georgia or January 6th end up not leading to more indictments. The House GOP are attempting to find evidence with which to impeach Joe Biden. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Efforts_to_impeach_Joe_Biden |
