"Clop" Group/Ransomware Breached U.S. Federal/Military Agencies Via MoveIt Exploit - Ballinn - Jun 15, 2023

Still developing somewhat but it seems like MoveIt was used by a lot of government agencies/military ops plus banks, hospitals, credit unions, schools, and state governments. Of course most all of them are claiming it's not a serious breach or they've got it under control. but we've all heard that same line every time these things happen. Also now most articles are saying the group was working directly with the Russian govt? Interested to see how this plays out and if they'll follow through in a week if nobody pays up.

The fact that this is the only post on HF in relation to Clop or the MoveIt vuln in general just shows this forum is so far gone from what it used to be in terms of actual hacking-related content or news being posted.

Tbh I was surprised to see it wasn't already being talked about too. I have been on here for a while but just off and on lately, figured I'd pop back in since cybersecurity is getting more and more relavent by the day. Def noticed a significant change in the subject matter on here but it happens I suppose.

Like muslims were the blame for attacking the UK and US...

Def know what you mean but so far what I saw that the group themselves said it was about devaluing the euro? Surely oil is a huge player in damn near everything that goes on these days so I'm guessing BRICS is the driving force maybe.

You won’t, the feds have gotten to HF years ago. Current Omni is likely someone they put in place here.

Is it fair to say that a generation of hackers were being 'taught' by the guys who give freebie hacks that get abused by a large mass of teenagers (like sim swapping) then they all go to federal prison and the forum is empty because it's left with old guys giving away the freebies that don't do that anymore and then a generational gap or something of people who are ready to rush a million dollar crypto wallet. You know what I'm saying?
