Group benefits suggestion - Neil - Jul 6, 2023
Even though Omni loves purging groups & their benefits (but has a hard on for useless crews / syndicates),
What are some ways that we can suggest to buff up groups a little bit where people would want to actually join
Honestly, the bytes nerf was rough. I would have rather had no HUM eggs in groups because nobody plays that fuckin game
But if i suggest that, groups will have no bytes or no hum eggs :,)

Id prefer having it as a group but it's hard to want to spend thousands on one in 2023.

And out of those 100 how many do you see contributing to more than giveaways?
Not to say the giveaways and contests arent generous, they are, but the way theyre typically set up doesnt do anything for activity.
Posting activity is nice, but there's more needed than that.

Contests could help but it would need to be things that encourage interaction and involvement and be something that is worth peoples time. A lot of people on here are well off, so a cheap prize wont entice a lot of people.
But things like graphics contests, scavenger hunts and the like are good way to get minor activity boosts, more depending on how it's organized.
We more than anything would need to find ways to bring in new members to the site and not troll them in the Lounge as soon as they show up so they cant at least get comfortable with the place before people try to run them off with negative things like trolling and negative popularities just for having a matching IP on their trust scans, despite the fact that in most cases is due to proxies and VPN's.
Fucking around and goofing off is fine, everyone enjoys it. But if people don't do anything at all to aid the community and forum itself, then in time more of these 'active members' will disappear.
Edit: sorry for a whole spill, but there isnt 1 definitive way to promise activity increasing, all anyone can do is try.

Personally, i doubt omni will give out any awards just because you’re in a group
Plus, there are so many awards i feel like awards with a challenge would be good, just as they are now
