HUM EGGS - Neil - Jul 10, 2023
So I was thinking & noticed (unless I'm completely wrong here) that you can't get 2 of the same eggs at once when posting.
I.e - I can't even hold 2 sapphire or emerald or ruby or gold eggs at a given time unless I hatch one of them.
I really think this is an interesting concept, but I also think it's an interesting way to farm gold eggs(hold onto eggs without hatching until you get all 3 eggs and then post enough where the only egg available left to get is gold unless that's not how it works).
I thought of an idea. Maybe put a cap on eggs in the HUM universe where only x ruby, gold, sapphire, and emerald are spawned in a day for posters and the only way to get rid of them is
1. delete them and spawn them back into the HUM world
or
2. hatch them yourself
This could lead to interesting tactics that could have players "hold" eggs in order to prevent certain players from getting them until let's say the last day or whenever you're able to hatch them.
I.E.
@-Scrub@ the known shit poster and HUM player is posting for the golden eggs
but let's say there are only 5 in the HUM universe that get given randomly.
If those 5 are given out to others in different HUM crews (Cause let's face it, the people who play HUM I'd assume are active ones that post). Let's say a player doesn't have the bytes to hatch it but doesn't want Scrub to get it if he deletes it. Maybe he'll ride it out the week until it gets auto-deleted or enough bytes to hatch it himself rather than deleting it from his awards.
Just an idea that I had thought of.
You could also allow for multiple eggs per person to be given with the egg cap in the HUM universe (depending on rarity). I.E. someone can win 2 emerald eggs in a day and have those in their awards section, but since emerald eggs are less rare, they could expire in let's say, 2-3 days rather than a week.

the hum game is already hard enough, maybe for next season.

I agree. Maybe more challenges could help in regards to leveling up a HUM that doesn't involve attacking someone else's HUM.

To my knowledge, yes you can only be holding 1 egg of each kind at a time that you get from posting. However, the chance of getting a gold egg is the same either way. I get how you're looking at it, but a 0.2% chance of getting a gold egg is still that regardless of whether you also have a 1.8% chance of getting a blue egg for instance. You either hit that 0.2% chance for the gold, you hit a different % chance for a different egg, or you hit nothing. Having some of the eggs already doesn't increase the % chance of the remaining eggs you don't. I'm no mathematician and so maybe I'm missing something deeper here, but on the surface level at least, this makes sense to me.
More to your actual suggestion, I personally think it's a bit too out there. It overcomplicates getting eggs and would surely result in less interest, less players, and so in turn also less things to do for those that are actually playing. Don't get me wrong, I think the game could benefit from some changes and additions, but I'm talking about the actual game itself. How you get eggs so that you can even attempt to start playing the game should be a very basic and straight forward thing as it is now. If anything is going to be done to make the game more inviting, challenging, or whatever else than it should be changes to the actual game. How you get eggs which are what's required to even try the game should not be made more complex, restricted, etc. Just my 2 cents obviously and hopefully it all makes sense.
