BIOS Admin. Password Problem - sneaky_inmate - Jul 13, 2023

Ok, I have a Dell Latitude 3120 Laptop and only extremely limited access to anything. (No Command access, no Win Key & R, etc., my laptop is locked up) I am attempting to get around the BIOS password and nothing is working.

*I have completely un-plugged all internal Batteries, twice, for 5 min’s each time. (the main battery, the small back-up, and the dime sized one on the motherboard) And all that changed is the time is off by an hour and 1/2.(sadly I can’t even fix that because everything is locked)

*I have looked everywhere on the motherboard itself and there are no PWS or PWSD jumper pins. (Supposedly Dell doesn’t have them on their newer laptops)

*I have gone to bios-psw.org and entered my system number: (2TGLHK3-8FC8) only to get a password that does not work.
Does anyone have an idea that could work?

BTW, the boot mode is VEFI and the Secure Boot is on.

oh and I have google this along with youtube
no luck

You need to search for something like “CMOS battery” “reset cmos”,
Maybe you want to trying to buy new motherboard and change the motherboard to the new you buy, but I don’t know if this is work beacuse I never try it

I know (generally on all computers) if you move away the cmos battery for couple of seconds or more c
, and than put it back, it will reset the bios and all
The settings that got in it, including reset password

maybe you need to find someone that have knowledge on physical parts that may help you to find this battery

Maybe you want to get out the hard drive, and plug it to new computer
If the files are important to you
