Do you ever wake up with one clogged ear? - Eran - Oct 16, 2023
It's one of those mornings again. Wake up to ONE clogged ear. It's mostly my right ear and to make things more absurd I don't even sleep on my right side. It's so annoying I know I'll struggle to hear my friends and coworkers all day 😡

Went to see my doctor about a blocked ear.
He asked me to describe the symptoms. I said “homer is a fat bloke and marge has blue hair”.

Just grab some ear wax removal OTC drops, that should do the trick. I use that in the morning and then with a q-tip. This is assuming that the wax is the issue here.

I have them, a couple of brands. It used to help instantly before, but nowadays it's not that effective as before

Never happened to me.
But,
I get clogged ear while showring. So, I would just tilt my head in the direction of clogged year and give it a good thumb to get those water out. 😆

I can totally understand your feeling!
Clogged ears can be quite annoying. It's often due to a temporary issue like congestion or earwax.

Dude, this has been happening to my left ear for months now. I just wake up basically half deaf and not sure what to do either.

It's most likely just pushed in ear wax deeeep literally at the ear drum. I mess with my ear every morning until it unclogs.
That's all I can think of. I do notice whenever I'm cleaning my left ear, it goes deaf when I go further in the ear to clean it.
That's what I'm thinking it is.

Probably but it annoys me that I didn't even sleep on my right side and I wake up deaf on my right ear 😡

Have taken any appointment of ENT Doctor?
If this is frequent, you should get them checked.

Yeah, I've been dealing with it on and off for 5-6 months now I think.
I don't know what to do either.
EDIT: I was thinking about just pooring a lot of water in there to and maybe it'll do something? I just don't know. Thought I was the only one in the world with this issue.
