Samsung nvme 990 pros - 7 - Oct 17, 2023

Is it just me or its a complete waste of time upgrading my Samsung 980 pros to 990s which are double the price.

I did however get myself a Kingston Fury Renegade 2TB

Lets see is that out performs for me. If so ill get another one for the same laptop.

4TB laptop nvme total... I might just die thinking about it

For double the price I'd say it's a waste of money yeah, but would have to check the reading speed

I wouldn't pay double the price for 6% more read and 27% more write speed.

Yes its not worth it right now. Unless you get it for a discounted price.

Yeah its a complete waste of time and money to upgrade to 990s. I don't know why Samsung even made these things. I think you pulled a solid move on the Kingston Fury Renegade. You'll gain a little speed and an extra 800TB written over the 980 pro.
