Modern Linux Administration - jasonnix - Oct 27, 2023

Hello,
What tools should a modern Linux administrator be familiar with? For example, Kubernetes, Puppet, Podman and etc.
I would be grateful if those who work in ISPs, data centers, etc. comment.

Thank you.

Those things. Also Ansible, Docker, data protection, probably some incident response in the form of being able to do the paperwork and talk to whatever authority you need to. Some sort of programming language depending on what company you work for. DevOps basically.
Hardware, networking, understand the linux kernel, the ability to communicate with developers.
Honestly, in my opinion, the tools are the easiest part. The hard part is navigating the company policy you work for with the budget you have and the management that you have. Interpersonal communication, I would say.
