Is a switch worth it? - SportsArb - Jan 4, 2024
I am thinking about getting a Nintendo switch. I loved the N64 games like Diddykong racing, mario party etc and was a fan of the wii.
The games are really expensive like $50-60. I don't game as much as I used too but seems like it would be fun for the family.
What other games would you guys recommend? I am thinking about Mario Kart, Mario Party and maybe some of the free emulator games.

I like the Switch. My kids love it more. But I grew up on N64 - Playing games like Golden Eye. If you liked Nintendo then it's worth it. I would recommend Zelda Breath of the Wild if you buy one. It's nostalgic, fun, and challenging to play.

I think it’s worth it if you like the racing games like Mario cart I love that game

I have had one for about 2 years now and I love it. So easy to just grab and play with, plus, you can bring it anywhere. I just had a 16h flight and played on it for roughly 9 out of those hours.

I highly recommend both Zelda games, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Smash Bros Ultimate is another good one.
Here's just a small list of some of my favorite Switch games
-Zelda BotW & TotK
-Mario Kart 8 (Get the DLC for the new maps, it's a must)
-Mario Party Superstars
-Super Mario Odyssey
But yeah, if you loved those other games on earlier systems, you'll love the games on Switch. Totally worth it. Easy to just pick up and play whenever.

I love its idea of playing but the price is overpriced for me, i think it is very high

I very much second this comment, all these games are great (wife plays them and she leaves me alone during it so it works very well).
Personally also a turn based fan. Persona, Fire emblem, etc... are games that imo are very enjoyable

While I'm not someone that even plays on a switch, I've many times considered getting one due to thinking it's worth picking up. Being able to play it as a handheld wherever, but then also on a TV / Monitor is awesome and there is a great selection of games depending on what you're into. Based on what you said, it sounds as though there would be a fair amount up your alley and to enjoy.
