Have you seen Smile? Smile is a pretty decent modern horror. Nope is pretty good up until a certain point then it kinda loses it fear factor. Talk To Me was another one I've seen recently that's somewhat unsettling as well.

You might want to watch Oldboy, original one was in 2003 but there's an American version that was released in 2013! Also Predestination is a good one too. And Fractured from Netflix is a good choice too :)

I really love that one I recommend it too. No one is posting new movies lol. And I remember Being John Malkovich was a mind fuck. Still not new though.

shutter island is 2010 but its an amazing movie, wonderfully written scenes and trippy as hell with a plot twist ending
