Robinhood Crypto Agreement - Omniscient - Jan 17, 2024 ![]() I was reviewing the RHC account agreement. I was considering opening an account there. Saw that shit in Customer Agreement. Not sure about other people but I actually read ToS. I want to see how bad it is. To me that's the worst part of the entire agreement. Basically they can question the source of your funds and at their sole discretion can "dispose of these funds" which to me sounds like they keep them. The lesson for today. Be careful what assets you keep on centralized exchanges. I don't even know what to say at this point. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! RE: Robinhood Crypto Agreement - webdev77 - Jan 17, 2024 Robinhood kinda sucks as a business model regardless so I'd avoid them just the same. Getting paid for order flow to provide your customers a knowingly worse price isn't something I'd want to utilize. RE: Robinhood Crypto Agreement - Hackers - Jan 17, 2024 I haven't been over there, but this definitely pushes back any chance of me checking out Robinhood. Exchanges & these centralized platforms can really take away the purpose of crypto with a bit of fine print. Not your keys, not your crypto RE: Robinhood Crypto Agreement - GruntStyl - Jan 17, 2024 I use them, but not really for crypto in specific. I purchase on there and later transfer it to my wallet. With keys that I own. I've only held a max of 2-3k worth of crypto on there at a time before transferring it off. Not really out of fear of them keeping it, rather I don't trust my crypto on any platform unless I own the keys to them. I've done this on any platform I've purchased crypto on though, not just robinhood. I've never had an issue with transferring crypto off of their platform though but, I also would never hold large amounts of it on there either.
