antenna with raspberry pi 4/5 - Alyosha - Feb 11, 2024 Hello i would like to add a antenna for wider wifi range on my pi 5. i researched a little with ai and was told to solder an antenna to pin 26 of a pi5 and the wifif range should increase. does anyone know if this is true and could work? RE: antenna with raspberry pi 4/5 - DramaKing - Feb 11, 2024 Nope, it will not work. RE: antenna with raspberry pi 4/5 - Alyosha - Feb 11, 2024 understood thx anyways for the info RE: antenna with raspberry pi 4/5 - webdev77 - Feb 11, 2024 Will not work. The Pi does not have an exposed antenna port. Fix your network setup if you need better WiFi. RE: antenna with raspberry pi 4/5 - PETN - Feb 11, 2024 It is best if you use ethernet with RPIs. Run 10, 20 meters of cable, it doesn't matter. In the end of the day, cable connection will always be faster and more reliable than WiFI. It is doable, but you need a module for that and also a little of soldering. If you want an external module, any old USB wifi adapter can be plugged in. It's just not part of the Pi and most will cost more than the Pi does. https://www.amazon.com/ALFA-AWUS036AXM-Adapter-Tri-Band-Wireless/dp/B0C7VLCK7V/ RE: antenna with raspberry pi 4/5 - Alyosha - Feb 16, 2024 (Feb 16, 2024 02:31 PM)webdev77 Wrote: If you want an external module, any old USB wifi adapter can be plugged in.
