living in a half way house - calliton - Feb 27, 2024

People be starting my laundry over when I'm in the next door room.
Putting Clorox in the dish when cooking steak for the dog, psa i threw it out and fed the dog regular food.
Person almost burned down a truck stop, was a near miss very luckily.

I have a job interview tomorrow, what would you do personally if you were in this situation?

Pay closer attention to what you have going on, if you're concerned about your laundry, stay in the laundry room while doing laundry. If you're worried about your food, stay in the kitchen while cooking.

These halfway houses aren't the best places to stay, but they are great for getting back on your feet. Take care of your stuff, and focus on doing better. You won't be there forever.

This.

Dude when I was in the Army if you didn’t sit with your laundry some asshole would take your soaking wet shit out of the dryer, throw it on the floor, and put their shit in your dryer.

Be mature and keep a level head. As Charlie Sheen said you won't be in there forever. Focus on yourself and try your best to be the bigger person in any encounter.

I personally lived in an apartment for a solid 3-4 years.

Untill I scrounged up some money and bought a much bigger space a state away from a previous one.

That sounds like a series of chaotic events! For your job interview tomorrow, I would suggest focusing on your strengths, experiences, and how you can contribute positively to the position you're applying for. Best of luck bro ✌

Geez that is exactly to a T what happened the first time I did laundry in the barracks. Threw the load in, went to my room to have a beer and play Xbox, come back later and my shit is soaking wet everywhere. Reminds me of basic when my bed wasn’t made right and after morning PT, came back and my bed is in the hallway on the other side of the barracks.

Good times.
