How to get website to top search? (SEO) - SIM-5504527 - Mar 31, 2024

I want to understand what truly affects a website's ranking in search results. I used an SEO checker tool to scan my website and found that it performed well compared to top-ranking sites, even though my website doesn't appear in the top 100 results. The tool I used was from a website I found in another thread. The The SEO checker tool/website I used was seopowerups (. com).

Many discussions focus on website structure, but it seems there are other factors at play. For instance, backlinks are often mentioned. Do they really make a difference? I noticed that the top-ranking site has 268 backlinks, while the second one has 2.4k backlinks. When I checked using a backlink checker like ahrefs (. com), I found that 59% of the top site's backlinks are 'dofollow,' compared to just 1% for the second site's 2.4k backlinks. What does this mean? Additionally, the SEO tool also mentions 'Social Data,' indicating whether Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are linked to the website. (seopowerups ". com")

Regarding backlinks, people also talk about their quality. I believe that free backlink generators found through Google are of low quality since they're accessible to everyone for free.

Another topic I've encountered is bot traffic markets. You can easily find websites selling website traffic by searching 'buy website traffic' on Google. Some of them claim to boost your website's SEO. Can you help me understand these aspects better?

And to add, I have come across several websites that label themselves as SEO checkers. However, their scan results can vary, with one website suggesting something is good while another indicates that I need improvement. So, which website can be trusted?

I think how your works on mobile phones makes a lot of difference since that's where the most traffic comes from now and Google is really pushing that. Also, how fast pages load.

As long as your site is built with the user in mind and the site contains the keywords your targeting in a header and the content. Backlinks are the next most important thing.

Backlinks and overall competition will determine your ranking
Building good content and having users spend time on your website will also influence how google will rank your website
I use ahrefs but mainly monitor site traffic and retention rate while building some solid backlinks
