Bytes Display in thread? - Chapman - Apr 20, 2024
I have around 5k bytes and i have invested in a crypto currency under games tab. But in my post-bit section, it doesn't shows the total worth of my bytes. It would be better if the total worth should be visible post-bit display so that other members can know about the actual worth of byte of that specific member. Look at this image, it's shows less than bytes, but i have around 5k bytes.

For me i think its better now, if i have 5k in total why would i even care for anyone to know? Its not a reward ti be shown

If I have $10,000 in my bank account and invest $5,000 into Crypto, I now have $5,000 in my bank account and $5,000 in Crypto. If I wanted to show this to people, I would have to show them two accounts; my bank account and my brokerage account.
Same logic is applied here as well.

It's tough because to do this they'd have to get the aggregate value of sportsbook bets, crypto holdings, pending lottery ticket values, etc and add to the total. It's not that it's too difficult but I'm just going to go on a limb and say that this probably isn't a high priority dev request.
I do see the benefits of what you are wanting, but at end of the day the amount of bytes you have isn't really something that is extremely important to show, at least in the case of tracking your crypto holdings too.

Am I understanding correctly that you want bytes you invest in CG to be visible on your profile still? Just seems unnecessary and not a big deal. Don't really know what genuine worthwhile benefit would come from this being different.
