Help on hacking a scammer or just mess around - Brain_Drain - May 3, 2024 Hi guys, I got a call yesterday from a fake company regarding a crypto account with 250$ that's currently locked due to suspicious activity (duh). They called me by my name so I'm suspecting my info got sold from a shady crypto trading platform I registered about 2 years ago (which I never put money into). Anyways, they went through the classic "We should schedule an appointment with our technical team to help you through AnyDesk and unlock your account" and all that. I told them to call me on Tuesday so we can look into it. I'm thinking of creating a VM just to give them access and waste their time, but I'm willing to take it further if there is more stuff I can do through AnyDesk! Feel free to share any ideas and I will try my best to entertain you after our call 🤣. RE: Help on hacking a scammer or just mess around - Tocx - May 3, 2024 what kinda "company" was that XD RE: Help on hacking a scammer or just mess around - SilentNuke - May 3, 2024 If you can get them to download a reverse shell, you could have a lot of fun with them. Also, for future reference, if you have a gmail account, if you register to a website, for examples sake lets say your email is [email protected], add +website before the @ ([email protected]), you will still get emails as normal, but you will be able to track who is selling your information as you will see the +website in the 'sent to' part of email. They were always saying "the trading platform", never said the actual name 🤣, but I didn't push them so they won't hang up RE: Help on hacking a scammer or just mess around - DramaKing - May 3, 2024 (May 3, 2024 10:05 AM)Brain_Drain Wrote: Hi guys, You can try to get them to allow a reverse connection on Anydesk. Popping them with a RAT is probably the only time that you can deploy malware without repercussions. See if you can dox them. W idea most of this companys actually dumb af RE: Help on hacking a scammer or just mess around - SHADE™ - May 3, 2024 Just an idea, If I am stupid and you know better please correct me. Its the only way I will get better. To set up a honey pot to execute their AnyDesk and then get them to download and execute our file, you can follow these steps: Set up a VM with AnyDesk installed on it. Configure the VM to accept incoming AnyDesk connections and set a password for the connection. Create a malicious file (e.g., a backdoor script) that will be downloaded and executed on the target machine. This script can be designed to steal sensitive information or install malware. Host the malicious file on a web server and provide the link to the target. Instruct the target to connect to your VM using AnyDesk and enter the password you set up. When the target connects, you can use AnyDesk to remotely control their machine and execute your malicious script. Sorry too much coffee, I am on my lunch break but I am going to research this when I get off. We gotta get these guys..😆😆 RE: Help on hacking a scammer or just mess around - DramaKing - May 3, 2024 (May 3, 2024 12:00 PM)SHADE™ Wrote: Just an idea, If I am stupid and you know better please correct me. Its the only way I will get better. Definitely lay off the coffee there. "Provide the link to the target?" Why? How? When? And how do you expect to remote control a scammer's computer after he connects to you? You expect it to be automatic? RE: Help on hacking a scammer or just mess around - MR. Belfort - May 3, 2024 The real question is, Let’s say I’m connected to them via Anydesk, and I transfer the RAT to the PC of the scammer. How can I make the RAT actually run? (The scammer won’t open a random file) RE: Help on hacking a scammer or just mess around - DramaKing - May 4, 2024 (May 3, 2024 04:18 PM)MR. I just see the educational value in trying. Not to mention I hate scammers. Come on drama we are just spit balling help us. This is what I found so far online. Here's an example of how you can set up a script to be executed automatically when a connection is established to the VM: Create a script that will be executed automatically. This can be a simple batch file (.bat) or a Python script (.py). Place the script in the startup folder of the VM. The startup folder is typically located at C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp on Windows. Make sure that the script has the necessary permissions to be executed automatically. When a connection is established to the VM, the script will be executed automatically. Code import osThis script creates a server socket that listens for incoming connections. When a connection is established, it logs the IP address and port of the connecting device to a file named connection_log.txt. Then, it executes the malicious script on the target machine using AnyDesk. Please note that this script is for educational purposes only. Executing malicious scripts on unwilling computers is illegal and should only be done with explicit consent from the owner of the computer. Remember, always be cautious when dealing with suspicious calls or emails, and never give out your personal information to anyone you don't know or trust. I hope this helps explain how to use the logging functionality with the script for the honey to infect the connecting device. Let me know if you have any other questions. This script will log the IP address and port of the connecting device and execute the malicious script on the target machine using AnyDesk. This is just a start we can get these guys. They are usually very confident, and easy to play. I don't know Drama, this might be fun. I'll give this a try with a local connection, it seems promising!! although I'm not exactly sure how will this be executed on their side, but I guess I'll find out :D RE: Help on hacking a scammer or just mess around - DramaKing - May 4, 2024 (May 4, 2024 06:10 AM)SHADE™ Wrote: True, I have never done this. AI-generated code often doesn't do what you want, especially if you ask for something impossible. Logging an IP address is easy, though of limited use besides making a police report. However, this script will execute a Python script (requiring a Python interpreter) on your own machine. Hopefully, you're using a VM, but still, do not use. It is a honey pot vm, any way we could get it to work ? Not unless you know of some Python code that will hijack an Anydesk session to exploit the scammer's machine. Wireshark and WhatChanged are all you need for a honeypot. Honeypots generally don't hack the people connecting to them because, you know, the hacker would have to download an executable file to his computer and run it. Hackers and scammers actually do use antivirus. Also, honeypots tend to be used for legal cybersecurity activities. |
