I agree you should not protest on the clock or show political "lean" anywhere near work or its employees.

Where does freedom of speech apply ?

I don't know, I mean they are not free from consequences of disrupting work. I think inside any spot of your workplace is wrong, and I do not think it is worth risking you job meddling in something like that, ya know?

I think people should definitely protest if they feel they should. I think that is completely their right, and I think that right is well protected. I do not think this is an instance of someone infringing upon your rights, though. If I ran a business, I would expect to be able to remove any people causing problems for my work setup because they want to protest in the middle of it, instead of in the appropriate area. Maybe it's just me, I am interested to hear other takes.

There has been history of people getting fired from post even about a stance on social media. Let alone actually going out to actively protest.

is this a case of being fired as a result of Freedom of Speech? or disrupting work?

Quote:No Tech for Apartheid claims that some of the workers fired were “non-participating bystanders” during last Tuesday’s sit-in protests at Google’s offices in New York and Sunnyvale, California, and not actively involved in the workplace activism.

Quote:Google had conducted an investigation into the “physical disruption inside our buildings on April 16,” the spokesperson said. “Our investigation into these events is now concluded, and we have terminated the employment of additional employees who were found to have been directly involved in disruptive activity,” the Google spokesperson added.

It's a case of "he said - she said"

If it's a case of disrupting the workplace, then I guess it's justified.
but if it's not, then I think it's a case of "your opinion doesn't go well with our agenda. So pack your things, you are fired"

Bunch of Anti Semitic nonsense and a bunch of people following online propaganda about a war that's been going on since the 1940s. Fuck off the lot of you. Where were any of these people about the concentration camps in modern China?
