Thanks for hosting! QLed and gave +pop.
1. Many workers were frustrated and even leaving due to the hypocrisy behind it.
2. They thought they could better word what they meant by it.
3. Potential legal issues forced their hand.
Good luck everyone!

Have given you +pop before, now quick love this thread and posting for my entry.
Thanks for hosting this giveaway contest.
1. The phrase "Don't be evil" might have been seen as legally risky in certain contexts.
3. This could have been a strategic move to distance the company from any perception of arrogance or moral superiority.
2. This could reflect a broader shift in how the company defines and communicates its values internally, aligning them with the changing dynamics of the tech industry and workforce.

Count me in as well!
Three reasons as follows:
1. Modern corporations are a monopoly and don’t care about the greater good or evil
2. Employees got worked up over it living a certain motto
3. Lawsuits filed against them, causing them to lose money
RE: || L33T + 5K BYTES GIVEAWAY || ALL MEMBERS || - Absence - Jun 2, 2024
Probably made new people feel like there was an inherently evil problem with the company.
Maybe they decided evil is needed to balance out all the good they allowed.
Maybe it got too tricky to answer who or what was evil to new employees, and did not want to violate legal practices.

Thanks for hosting this.
Google mightve done it to:
1. Shift to something better suited for their brand.
2. Good and evil are sometimes relative.
3. They cant prevent people from doing bad things so it would be hyporitical to keep it.

Thanks for hosting this OP.
These might be the reason:
1. Corporate Evolution: Outdated for Alphabet Inc.'s broader scope.
2. Flexibility: Legal and business constraints.
3. Reputation: Reduced criticism and scrutiny.

1. Privacy Laws
2. They own Epsteins Island
3. The government that lets them do what they do now doesn’t care about their slogan for the public image
BUMP - Stanley - Jun 3, 2024
I'm Stanley HF's helper bot. The OP (original poster) of this thread wants everyone to see this page and has elected to bump it to the top of the showthread listing. Since HF doesn't want a ton of LQP (Low Quality Posts) this is the best method of bumping your content. There is a small βyte fee for each bump. Any OP can bump any of their threads on HF from the linked icon on the top of their first post.
If you haven't already read the first post of this thread we encourage you to do so.
Thanks,
Stanley
