Making vendor more trustworthy? - Jamika - Jun 4, 2024 Hello admin So i saw some vendors turning scamming, so they depend people depend that they r official vendors and pay them So why dont add for example certain fees, so if they turn scam be taken from this cash? I know many will scam but being vendor making their account seems official more RE: Making vendor more trustworthy? - Charlie Sheen - Jun 4, 2024 They already pay a $100 fee to join the group and they have to be approved by Omni to be in the group. HF is not going to start an escrow service for the vendors as well. https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5990007 RE: Making vendor more trustworthy? - Omniscient - Jun 4, 2024 I have it $100 to join Vendor so that the scammers are less likely to pay that upgrade fee if they're going to get closed. It sort of works mostly but I am considering raising the Vendor fee to maybe $150 so that it's even more discouraging. But I also don't want to price out valid Vendors. RE: Making vendor more trustworthy? - DashPHP - Jun 4, 2024 Sadly raising the price won't fix this problem and I think the current price point does deter scammers pretty well. RE: Making vendor more trustworthy? - Aeowulf - Jun 4, 2024 I think MOST scammers are already priced out by the fee. Outside of that, middlemen are highly encourage for big deals. RE: Making vendor more trustworthy? - Vince - Jun 4, 2024 Also, if a scammer wants to scam, they will find ways to do it. You can put up as many roadblocks as you want, but someone persistent enough will go through all that to scam a couple hundred or thousand dollars. Just how shitty some people can be. What if vendors would have to make a deposit? Like say they put in a deposit of 200-500 in case of a scam to pay out the victim what he paid and if anything is left it would basically go to HF (You)? No, that's too close to escrow and being financially involved in a deal. Too much risk. RE: Making vendor more trustworthy? - SIM-5420967 - Jun 14, 2024 Fraud deposit. This idea is taken from other forums. As a vendor you deposit a fraud deposit. If you would scam someone, the victim would get the money back from the fraud deposit. But it's hard to do because not many people are willing to pay 1BTC just to ensure you aren't a scammer [warn] RE: Making vendor more trustworthy? - Omniscient - Jun 14, 2024 (Jun 14, 2024 05:37 PM)DeathDealer Wrote: Fraud deposit. What I don't like is now I'm going to have to take claims against the "Fraud Deposit". I'm holding funds. I'm getting involved in deals with the actual money. It's going to end badly for HF. I wish you people would understand that I can't be involved with the money in deals. NEVER CAN I ESCROW PAYMENTS. You're all a bunch of fucking morons for this suggestion. |
