Lately, I've been pondering a question: Is a botnet considered a beginner's hacking technique or an advanced hacking skill? In many hacking discussions, botnets are often highlighted as a crucial tool, but their level of difficulty can be somewhat confusing.

For beginners, creating a botnet may require a grasp of basic skills such as cybersecurity, programming, and system administration. However, once these foundational skills are acquired, setting up a simple botnet is not necessarily a daunting task.

Hi, welcome to HF!

Depends on what part of it you want to hear.

Keeping your bots alive by encoding them ("crypting" as they call it) takes another step, but my niche hasn't had that problem since gamers don't particularly bother with computer security.

Cheers!
