RAT tool in Python, Reverse shell feature. - Thiguystinks - Jul 31, 2024

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a RAT tool in Python and want to add a reverse shell feature. I'm not familiar with building a reverse shell and would appreciate any guidance or resources you can share. Specifically, I'm aiming to make it discreet so the user doesn't notice anything on their computer. Any advice on achieving elevated permissions or making the tool more stealthy would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance!✌

Are you developing this tool for Linux? Will the payload be in Python?

You should try the standard ones like this:
https://swisskyrepo.github.io/InternalAllTheThings/cheatsheets/shell-reverse-cheatsheet/#python
They work with a nc on the other side.

Or a simple SSH-Tunnel:
https://pypi.org/project/sshtunnel/

or a real old examplecode here:

He already gave you suggestions, why not make multiple random methods from the source to make it more unique? But make sure the methods you selected from his links would work for you.

If you plan to do RAT you need to find the way to avoid Antivirus detection, starting for Microsoft Defender.

If antivirus detects then is useless

Overl0rd has a good point since pyinstaller gets flagged very fast. Reverseshell sount very nice in a rat.
