Is AWS good for Linux VM? - SilentNuke - Jul 31, 2024 I want to set up a cloud VM running Linux - probably Kali. I have seen people AWS is a good candidate and you can use it free so I was wondering if it’s a good option, if not, what would you recommend? If AWS is a good option, what do I need to set up with? Because AWS comes with quite a few packages such as storage, bandwidth, database, machine learning, containers etc.. I’ve never used it before so I’m not 100% some of the of the differences so any help would be great. Thanks. RE: Is AWS good for Linux VM? - Jemmyas - Aug 1, 2024 Yes, the best place for me to set up a Kali Linux VM is AWS. Work on the free tier; it lasts for 12 months. Sign up with AWS, proceed to EC2, launch an instance, select the AMI for Kali Linux, choose t2.micro type, configure settings, and then launch. RE: Is AWS good for Linux VM? - SilentNuke - Aug 1, 2024 Perfect, thank you. I had a feeling but just wanted clarification before I waste my time with it. |
