Will the desktop computer become obsolete in the future? - Portugals - Aug 7, 2024
With developing technology, will we see less desktop computers in the future? What are your thoughts?

I suppose it's possible - but I don't see it happening anytime soon, especaially in a professional setting. Advances in VR and AR tech does look promising for certain applications but I think they're more going to become additional tools rather than full desktop replacements. That's just my opinion though!

I think with robotics, and the rise of laptops carrying computers that have the same graphic cards as desktops the desktop computer would be upgraded with some sort of robotic, and Artificial Intelligence components inside. But would they become extinct ? Absolutely not I do not think desktop computers would become extinct or see less of them.
