Hack the Box - newbies welcome - ncrypt10n - Aug 9, 2024

I've just left my last team (due to inactivity over the years) and decided to set up my own hack the box team. Anyone interested in joining it if they are not already in one?

https://app.hackthebox.com/teams/overview/6488

For anyone in the team (and active in HTB) i'll personally give help to in PMs (or discord PMs) if it's any incentive :)

Note, this is not me recruiting saying come join the best team/group out-there etc.. nope, I just simply created a group and wondering if anyone wants to join who hasnt joined one yet. no commitments, just be part of it as long as you want until you move on. you never know, maybe youll get really into it and well hit some CTFs together in the future (I have quite a few 1st place CTF's under my belt with just myself and my best friend (whos not on HTB unfortunatly) from all over the world.

thanks in advance.

Im more of a governance guy but have some pentest experience - a discord group DM would probably best for the team.

I'd like to join. I'm new here but looking for somewhere to strengthen my skills and discuss with like-minded people. I have experience in packet switching, routing, Windows/Linux, ARP, OSPF, etc. Also well known tools like metasploit payloads, hashcat, etc.

I would like to try. Not sure about how it happens on the HTB, but heard a lot about it previously. Already have some CTF experience and quite a lot of experience in software engineering (mostly C and C++). Also have some around-professional understanding of wide range things around, like OSs, networks, RE, etc.

I feel like most of the guys in this sphere isn't too skilled, so doesn't think that I'll too bad, but will see.

I may join. I have probably done 1 HTB CTF lol, usually spend my time on THM learning so i dont have much experience on HTB, but may give it a shot.

I sent a request to join. I used to have some skills years ago, then I went down a different career path. Now I'm back online with a drive to learn. Currently taking HTB Academy courses, while also learning and refining the process of self-education. When I'm not hitting courses, I want to spend more of my free time learning through more social means. After a month on HTB-A, I decided to spin up the CS50 course Harvard offers. For now, that's my plan until I know enough to figure out my next move.
