PS5 Pro has been announced - Undead - Sep 12, 2024 Personally, don't see much difference between compared to PS5 considering the price. It also doesn't come with a disc drive or a stand, you have to purchase these separately. Sony is starting to act worse that Apple. Available: November 7, 2024 Preorders: September 26, 2024 Price: $699.99 USD, £699.99 GBP, €799.99 EUR, and ¥119,980 JPY (includes tax) Tech specs: It will include a 2TB SSD, a DualSense wireless controller and a copy of Astro’s Playroom pre-installed in every PS5 Pro purchase. PS5 Pro is available as a disc-less console, with the option to purchase the currently available Disc Drive for PS5 separately. The big three. Upgraded GPU: With PS5 Pro, we are upgrading to a GPU that has 67% more Compute Units than the current PS5 console and 28% faster memory. Overall, this enables up to 45% faster rendering for gameplay, making the experience much smoother. Advanced Ray Tracing: We’ve added even more powerful ray tracing that provides more dynamic reflection and refraction of light. This allows the rays to be cast at double, and at times triple, the speeds of the current PS5 console. AI-Driven Upscaling: We’re also introducing PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, an AI-driven upscaling that uses a machine learning-based technology to provide super sharp image clarity by adding an extraordinary amount of detail. RE: PS5 Pro has been announced - Charlie Sheen - Sep 12, 2024 Does anyone else miss the days when a new console had new features, instead of the same games and features just faster? I used to follow new consoles so closely and constantly be on the lookout for leaks on features and abilities and now it's just the same shit just a bit faster, still have loading screens, and the graphics are sometimes better in some games. When the PS4 Pro came out, it was like a next generation console compared to the PS4. It was reasonably priced as well. Something has gone very wrong with Sony, almost like they're just trying to scam people now. They failed hard with Concord haha RE: PS5 Pro has been announced - RangoWorld - Sep 13, 2024 This PlayStation generation has been very underwhelming compared to PS4. Still waiting for that big next gen PS5 game. RE: PS5 Pro has been announced - MyHighness - Sep 13, 2024 $700 for a Playstation, damn! Inflation has gotten so bad. The same people who approved the ugliest console design in PS history. RE: PS5 Pro has been announced - illuminati▲ - Sep 13, 2024 Eh. Seems like a waste of money these days. You could use that $699.99 to buy new parts for a pc. RE: PS5 Pro has been announced - TopM - Sep 13, 2024 Yeah I'll be honest the PS5 Pro seems a bit meh. Didn't help that the showcase was really quite shite, made it look more like a device to play PS4 games better than a meaningful improvement over the PS5. Also no launch titles is weird. RE: PS5 Pro has been announced - DemonAsylum - Sep 14, 2024 The way these companies talk about the next mainline consoles every time such as Xbox Series X and PS5, you'd think these kind of specs on the PS5 Pro are what THOSE consoles should have already been getting. Regardless, $700 for a mid generation console, upgraded hardware as it may have, is too much imo. I'm sure many out there who get physical copies of games are saying it all the more to as the pro doesn't have a disk drive built in, correct? You have to go and buy that separately on top of the $700 pro itself lol? Then even with the console itself aside, I don't believe it's releasing with any new major games if any at all and the list of games that will benefit supposedly a lot from the pro is meh. The upgrade from a base PS5 to the pro just doesn't seem worth it given the price tag and current state of gaming on there. RE: PS5 Pro has been announced - IntelPanda - Sep 14, 2024 Waste of money, not many attractive titles and I don't think it'll handle GTA VI like it's meant to. RE: PS5 Pro has been announced - nectar - Sep 14, 2024 With that price, you might as well spend a bit more and get a starter PC, especially when you add in the disc drive and stand. Also, not even very many games will support the PS5 Pro features, most of them will play the same as a regular PS5 as of right now. Do better Sony. RE: PS5 Pro has been announced - mediocool - Sep 15, 2024 Many options to can buy with that money new Xbox, 799 snack for 1$ each RE: PS5 Pro has been announced - F4tDoinkz - Sep 15, 2024 Yeah this price point is terrible imo. Sony basically has no competition right now and they are charging an absurd amount for this with minimal upgrades. Games still release on ps4. There are barely any exclusives that will even take advantage of the hardware. RE: PS5 Pro has been announced - Vipеr - Sep 15, 2024 At this point/price why not just buy a PC and crack games? |
