Intro - Personal Protection: A Practical Approach - justjack102 - Sep 25, 2024 For some time now, I have been racking my brain on how to do a baseline on how to keep oneself protected. Personal protection is about protecting oneself from harm, extending beyond just the internet/web. It's also not a one-size-fits-all approach. Every individual and their circumstances are different. People are of different ages, come from different countries, different states, different laws, etc. There is what I think, however, a baseline that can be important. From there the rest is up to the individual. And that is what I hope to achieve in the future. I will try to my best not to get bogged down in legality, morality, and ethics. The reason I say this is because for example in one country I would say it's a very bad thing to be running away from your government whereas in another country I would say getting the fuck away from them is the best thing you can do. As again, every person in every country is different. Moreover, what you will not get from me is the best VPN to use, the best proxies, the best AV/Antimalware, the best anon guide, the best anti-dox guide, etc. I want you to think for yourself! And my mission is to create a baseline from which you can hopefully achieve that. So, what you can expect to see of me in the future is stuff like critical thinking, cognitive biases versus reliable heuristics, drawing fine lines between paranoia and apathy, colour-coded mental states, some psychology of human behaviour, physical security, how to think like the enemy (this means visually becoming the enemy and to the extreme! and much more. I might also provide some good-to-know stuff you may or may not know. However, it would help if you didn't become reliant on me or anyone else. The most important thing I want you to do though is not trust me as a person but read what I write and if it agrees with reason and you find it useful then use it. If not then so be it. Just because I write something you may like doesn't in any shape or form mean that you can trust me. You don't know me and I don't know you. This isn't about me; this is about you using your research and analyses. See ya around. :) RE: Intro - Personal Protection: A Practical Approach - Ryzeaf - Oct 12, 2024 thank you this helped me alotttt RE: Intro - Personal Protection: A Practical Approach - ne3tghai - Oct 22, 2024 sounds interesting, you just need to make sure, you're using a Linux computer and know how to control most aspects of it. |
