What's Your 5 Year Plan? - Prawnster - Oct 5, 2024

Do you guys have like a set 5 year plan or goals maybe for the next 5 years?

I think I want to continue releasing sites and building up funds and then within the next 5 years, I want to own a legal gambling site - That's my next big goal at least.

Need about 100k to put towards the site, licenses etc which I've got sorted already but it's just about getting enough cash flow into the other businesses BEFORE I take that step.

What about you guys?

Hahaha, thats a nice plan at least, having a loving family is always a great motivator to succeed as well.

Currently my five year plan is to continue saving and investing my money into a portfolio that has good interest. I currently have about %40 of my money in a secured account that has about 4.5% APY, another %40 into high risk investments, and the other %20 in case I need cash for emergencies or bills. Save money, live frugally, and continue to work.

That's the way to do it bud! Keep living like that and in a few years you'll have a very stable situation.

At the minute I split my money pretty similarly - 20% goes into high interest savings, 55% goes into my "investments" account where I can use it on future businesses and expansions and then the rest is split between living expenses and emergency fund!

Big facts! Retiring before 40 sounds like a good plan!

Yeah I think 40 is a great age to retire, plenty of life left in ya and plenty of life experiences already under your belt to stop any silly decisions haha.

Hopefully to be alive in another 5 years. My plan is to live!

I'd say my five year plan is to move to a different state, get a house, and continue building my career. I have a ways to go before I get to these stages, but I'm taking it with baby steps.

A step forward, no matter how small, is still progress bud, keep it up & you'll get there.

I’m trying to get back on my feet after losing all my savings with my ex-girlfriend. I’m planning to work for two years as a SOC Analyst here in France and then move to the USA or Canada for one or two years.

I want to see what it's like to work in other places, and salaries can vary significantly tbh. However, I’ve also heard that the job market is kind of messed up right now. I’ll see how things go over the next two years and decide what to do then.

If I stay in France I think I could spend between 1 and 3 years as a SOC Analyst (tier 2 and tier 3), then move to something like forensic or malware analyst. If I move to the USA or Canada I would keep my SOC Analyst role as I would be comfortable with it, I think moving to another country and also changing your job can be a lot to handle, better to rest on one's laurels

I don’t have a super detailed 5-year plan, but I do have a few goals in mind. I want to keep growing my die-cast collection and take my side hustle to the next level. Eventually, I’d love to expand my business and maybe even explore new ventures. It’s all about balancing passion projects and financial growth.

I am looking to create a balance between work, personal life, and travel, making sure I am enjoying life while also achieving my goals.
