HBO Bitcoin Documentary - Fʀᴏst - Oct 8, 2024

I just got finished watching the bitcoin documentary that HBO released. I'm curious to see what your opinion is on Peter Todd possibly being Satoshi Nakamoto. I personally don't think he is but I think he knows who is and had a lot of contact with Satoshi. If I had to put a person to Satoshi being one person it would be Adam Back.

No one really knows. What if it’s a group?

Yea I honestly think that is it. I'm doing a little digging on Peter and it weird how he just all of sudden got into bitcoin development and understood it immediately. Do you think they actually got rid of the private keys?

I don't think it's him either. He apparently even said it's not him and that his life is in danger. Kind of a d*ck move by HBO tbh imo

Yea but to be fair anyone that is actually Satoshi, There life is endangered they are sitting on a trillion dollars and every big government wants to kill bitcoin. I do think it's crazy that the promo build up was them saying they found who Satoshi was but then had no concrete evidence just them accusing off of one post on the forums.

I haven’t seen the documentary. If they claim that they got rid of private keys, that’s just nonsense lol.

Yea the theory is they got rid of the private keys so that they could never temp themselves to take the money out or even prove they were Satoshi Nakamoto. It's a decent documentary I guess if you don't got anything better to watch I would watch it. It just a lot of pointing fingers at people and then at the end they say they think it's this one guy because of a post he made on the bitcoin forums.

Was the documentary any good? I didn't get interested enough to watch it cause it felt like all hoax hype drama. Cause we all know it's all speculations. No one knows who or what Satoshi Nakamoto is.

It was good enough to watch i'd say but yea it didn't prove nothing did make you have some question though.

What questions?

I assume the documentary was beneficial to people new in the crypto world but not veterans who already know much of it.
