Signal jammers are very illegals. Besides, most cameras (profesionnals) rely on Ethernet (so they also get the power through PoE), so SJ doesn't have any effect on them.

The ones that could be concerned are home / connected cameras which rely on wifi to work, however if you use the SJ on wifi band you'll shutdown many wifi from routeurs.

The use of jammers is prohibited because it causes many security issues. By using one, you could affect other communication networks, especially those used for emergencies. Keep in mind that to prevent such things, there are vehicles patrolling with antennas that detect interference. If you get caught, it's straight to prison, as they usually don’t take it lightly.

when you say there are vehicles that patrol around with antennas do you mean local law enforcement? I know signal jammers are illegal but they are sold online or homemade and anyone can buy them, thats why i wanted to know how well they really do work.

Well I guess it really depends on where you're at. Could be a local security company, law enforcement, or even a fed. Signal and RF jamming is taken very seriously in court.

I highly doubt you can find and buy a Signal Jammer so easily. Are you talking about Radar Jammers to disrupt police from detecting your speed? If you're curious about those, some states do not persecute Radar Jammers.

A signal jammer is not going to do anything against a dashcam in a vehicle. Those record to local storage and don't need anything wireless to work.

In general, good security cameras are not wireless and are completely unaffected by a jammer. A bright flashlight is way more effective than anything else if you want to not be seen on camera.

All that needs to happen is for people to notice the jamming and complain to the authorities. That said, you're not going to get caught with some brief use of an SDR tuned to the band of the target router/WAP.

Ettus Research never let me down with best SDR's.

I think you'd have a very hard time jamming anything that is installed by a security professional, Also many of the home systems don't even require internet connection for wireless they run off of multiple different sources and even have backups like SD Cards built in
