And good point, countries need resources and land. Russia is not in the wrong for anything they do in Ukraine since they just want land, ISIS was not in the wrong since they just wanted land, China is not in the wrong since they just want Hong Kong and Taiwan. Evil is subjective, even ISIS believed they were in the right.
