Wordlists - TheMadCyborg - Nov 3, 2024

We all use wordlists and we know the common ones like rockyou.txt and John's wordlists.

Do you have any wordlists that have gotten you further than others?
Have you found any wordlists that work better for you or what is your goto repos for wordlists or do you generate new wordlists based on the project?

Interested to hear your thoughts and experiences ✌

Search for Seclist on GitHub, I have used it often, I think that together with Rockyou it is one of the best

The piotrcki wordlist if I'm using something that can handle it. It's a collection of data breach passwords, about 18GB worth. To put it into perspective size wise, a threaded steg cracker like stegseek can process the rockyou.txt file in less than 3 seconds, while it takes close to a minute for the piotrcki.

But yea, that's a huge folder and uploading that would be wild. I assume some of those wordlists are built by your hands or through tools?

I also want to find some good wordlists are really work for HTB. SecLists just takes a lot of time to download.
