What stores do you miss - Prepper - Nov 10, 2024 What stores do you miss that used to be popular, maybe as a kid, teen, etc. I really miss Blockbuster, the times walking in there with my father and sometimes my mother to pick out movies was just a much better way different experience from what you get now days. Still have some Blockbuster VHS tapes. I also miss RadioShack, I often went there with my father, they had pretty much everything you could ever need for electronics, now days there really is nothing comparable you are almost forced to order online. RE: What stores do you miss - Nachfolger - Nov 10, 2024 I miss Walmart. Such an awful thing that they went out of business. You need a membership, and there are less weirdos. What happened to Eckerds? RE: What stores do you miss - F4tDoinkz - Nov 10, 2024 Blockbuster, locally we had Hollywood video as well. Which was better in some ways. In my area we had a big toys r us that was another great one. I really loved that place. RE: What stores do you miss - Biggy - Nov 10, 2024 Blockbuster. Renting a VCR tape… good ol days. RE: What stores do you miss - Pimping - Nov 10, 2024 I have to say Kmart and radioshack miss blockbuster too RE: What stores do you miss - Deany - Nov 11, 2024 I miss Toys R Us like you wouldn't believe RE: What stores do you miss - Jamika - Nov 11, 2024 Toys r us , they were so good when i was a kid , now almost dying RE: What stores do you miss - plops - Nov 11, 2024 Ah man, i really miss radioshack. The older version of it where I could buy components for small electronics. As a small child i had no idea what did what but i loved exploring each of the cubbies to check out the electronic piece RE: What stores do you miss - RangoWorld - Nov 12, 2024 I miss Toy R Us as well. RE: What stores do you miss - Epic - Nov 12, 2024 I'm going to have to go with what some other people have mentioned and say radioshack and blockbuster. I remember renting tons of GameCube games from blockbuster back in the day, and movies too of course. My brother would rent movies and rip/burn them, so I had an early introduction to piracy there, haha. I did most of my game shopping at GameStop but I feel like they will be coming to an end soon due to the rise in digital games. It was like a toy story playland anytime I went as a kid. RE: What stores do you miss - Doug Dimmadome - Nov 12, 2024 Borders. It was the best book store. I also miss Pier 1 Imports. While overpriced and sometimes garbage, they actually did have some quality things at not outrageous prices that are hard to find at other brick and mortar stores. RE: What stores do you miss - Ѕystem - Nov 12, 2024 I miss K-Mart and the good ole Blockbuster, Hollywood Video etc. While this isn't necessarily a store but instead an entertainment facility for kids waaaaaaay back in the day, Discovery Zone. I still can vividly hear the message "Service is needed in layaway" over the speaker system from when shopping at K-Mart as a kid. Back then we called it "Kame Apart" as a joke. Ahh, good times. |
