You know some paths or tips to continue? - PURPL3S3C - Nov 12, 2024
Hi everyone, im not a beginner at all but, i was learning some 1 year ago and i know some about ports, subnetting, web hacking (XSS, HTMLi) but, im stuck and, i don´t know how to continue, there are a bunch of ways and fields in hacking. Any tips are ll welcome! Thanks :)

I dont know where your skillset is. You said your "not a beginner at all" but you said you learned "some". My opinion, only because i dont know how much you "know", start with the basics. Do you know how operating systems work (the different types)? Do you know networking (ports, ip addresses, Data Trans)? Do you know how to reverse a string (basic programming)? Most importantly do you know security (self explanatory lol)? To get the best direction on where you need to focus you should be asking more direct topic questions.
My question for you: What is it that you have the most passion in when it comes to hacking (network, web app, system, malware, etc. etc.)?

If 1 year learning some of hacking means I'm a beginner, I am. But about your question, when I find XSS on webs or im auditing hosts by IP and all that stuff, it gives me the vive you know. Thanks for reply.

I mean there are a bunch of stuff and idk what is more important. But thanks for the info of htb and tryhackme :)
