Mobile phone privacy? - ๖ۣۜGohan - Nov 17, 2024

I can see there is a lot and I mean a lot of really good information on how to almost go invisible using a pc- great I’m going to get that set up.

But is there anything that can be done on an iPhone? Other than Just a vpn? I know you can use tor on mobile but anything else?

Uh, what goes on your iPhone stays on your iPhone? iPhones are so restricted that you can't 'de-Apple' them.

Yeah but how do you stop browser tracking and all that kind of thing on a iPhone. Anyway to tighten up privacy on a iPhone. Like you can on pc.

Apple pretty much makes the hardware and software for their devices. They are very restricting and security wise tight compared for Android. I believe when you are using an IPhone. You basically trust apple cause they pretty much look into you if they really want to. I don't believe in 'oh they have this policy and we have this law'. Like no. The master of the product has access to its products.

That's why Android I believe are better for privacy if you know what you are doing cause you can root and customize stuff more easily.

I don't know what the problem is.

Well, personally I am an android user, not iPhone. But there is a lot you can do on your phone. You can get browsers like Firefox (with ublock), brave, tor which offer various level of privacy and protection. I'm sure if you are an apple account on your phone, it's logging all kinds of information like app usage, syncing contacts, photos, etc. You can use things like thunderbird for fairemail as opposed to something like the Gmail app. Location could be enabled. If mobile data is enabled, you can be traced to near pin point accuracy. Using a VPN is definitely good, especially one that has additional DNS filters. I think like anything, it just depends on how far you want to take things.

I've seen this before and been wanting to do more research. What would you say the standout features are? How are the data removal tools (primarily what i am concerned about)? I am a religious user of a password manager, simplelogin aliases, and 2fa, so I've already got those covered.

Are you high bro?
"What happens on your iPhone stays on your iPhone" and this "Apple refused to unlock criminal's phone" shit is nothing but a PR stunt.

I know this article is by forbes, but you should really look into how much apple collects from you on their devices lol.
GrapheneOS is the only way out. Buy a google pixel, desolder the lost device chip at a hardware level and lock it down.

People talking about software level cloaking services and SSO encryptors, etc are mindless npcs who honestly have nothing but beginner level understanding about how the devices in their hands actually work.

Download DuckDuckGo and enable app tracking protection.
