(NEED HELP) running Tails OS on mac - SIM-5406822 - Nov 26, 2024 Hey! I don't want to be watched constantly so I decided to get tails OS on my old macbook from 2015. However, I can't get wifi on it and apparently it's because Linux doesn't have the drivers? I installed them on tails, but I haven't found a way to make them persistent. Is there any way to do this? I had to look it up, but you simply have to add the kernel modules to/etc/modules to make them load at boot. Modprobe does not install them so that they work after a reboot. https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-how-to-load-a-kernel-module-automatically-at-boot-time/ RE: (NEED HELP) running Tails OS on mac - SIM-5406822 - Nov 27, 2024 (Nov 26, 2024 01:49 PM)DramaKing Wrote: I had to look it up, but you simply have to add the kernel modules to/etc/modules to make them load at boot. I do have WiFi on MacOS (I dual boot for now) RE: (NEED HELP) running Tails OS on mac - ttggfx - Nov 27, 2024 (Nov 27, 2024 12:03 PM)SIM-5406822 Wrote: Thank you for the quality reply! I mean, it's a Macbook. Dongles and docks are commonplace. RE: (NEED HELP) running Tails OS on mac - tarleaf256 - Nov 27, 2024 I have a Mac, I most of the time have to put the OS in a VM because I can't get it to work properly on the "bare metal". You can VMware or VirtualBox and set up the internet connection the way you want it. |
