Every year my aunt spends 25 dollars to give me a 20 dollar visa gift card. Every year I put it in my desk drawer and use it to buy her gift next year. She's been buying her own christmas gift for about 10 years now.

I haven't done any of these but I have regifted a few presents. I got a vacuum cleaner one year and it was mainly for cleaning up dog hair, I didn't have a dog and lived in a small apartment with hardwood floors so I gave it to someone else as a christmas gift

I definitely don't recall ever returning something. I've for sure however technically sold something down the line that I got as a present. It wasn't a matter of not liking or using it ever though. It just became something I didn't need or want after however much time.

I was going to mention clothes for my previous reply, but I felt like that was kind of a standard one. Also it was a case of giving it back to who gave it to me and then they refund it and such. So no loss to them and no bigee for me.
