Hi everyone,
The low-quality spam created by the Octoberfest event is over, but it appears we have round two this year. How do you feel about the type of content this creates on HF?
Personally, I think it generates a ton of spam threads with no substance simply for the award. If I were a new member coming to the forum for the first time, this doesn't appeal to me. It seems like fake activity, because it is. A workaround would be to mandate that it be in at least 5 forum categories or something like that. The lounge just turns into a giant dumpster for stupid threads.

Quality Comes From Contribution, Not Complaints
Sure, some threads may not hit the “high-quality” mark, but what they do is encourage participation, get people involved, and bring life to a platform that thrives off its community.
If the lounge has threads you don’t find appealing, set the example. Post content that raises the standard. Be the one to show others what meaningful contributions look like, instead of tearing down efforts to bring HF back to its roots.
This place succeeds when we build it up, not tear it apart. Bullying and negativity drive people away—solutions bring them back. If you want to improve HF, lead by action.
No one respects those who only throw fuel on the fire while hoping it burns. Let’s keep HF moving in the right direction—together.

I second this. People complain about no activity on the forum, then when there's a burst in activity they're still complaining.
