What’s your holiday/birthday preference?
Holiday gifting can be tricky. Some people love getting actual presents, while others prefer the flexibility of cash or gift cards.
Cash: Practical, but does it feel impersonal?
Gift cards: Specific but limited.
Items: Thoughtful, but what if it’s not what you need?
Me personally, I hate receiving items that are something I don’t need/will never use and just collect dust… would much rather prefer cash or gift cards

I personally am OK with recieving cash, giftcard or an actual gift. I'm not too picky. As far as what I give to others, I prefer to buy people gifts.. but if they ask me specifically for a giftcard, then I normally will just buy them one. For example, I asked me sister what should I buy my niece for Christmas, and she said an apple giftcard... e-z p-z

It's sometimes really not easy.
I try to gift people what they really want and can use, but sometimes it's just not that easy.
A gift card comes in handy then.

I think actual gifts are more " personal ". If you gave me a pair of shoes or a nice sweater, I would remember you everytime I used that item. Gift cards? Meh.

Straight to the point! Cash is definitely the easiest option, and no one’s ever disappointed to receive it. What would you spend it on this year?

That’s a nice balance—thoughtful gifts when possible, but practical when needed. Apple gift cards are definitely a win these days. Do you find it easier to shop when people tell you exactly what they want?

Totally agree—it can be so hard to find something thoughtful and useful. Gift cards really do save the day sometimes! Do you ever feel like they’re less personal, or do they work just as well?

That’s such a great point—actual gifts can create memories in a way that cash or gift cards can’t. But what if you’re unsure about someone’s taste or size? How do you avoid the risk of getting it wrong?

Gift cards are thoughtful without being too restrictive.
It is a great compromise between cash and physical presents.

Yes!! That is a great idea. I hate getting here gift cards because I never use uber…. Target is nice because everyone can use it for anything

Cash would be nice, but I think I prefer gifts because unwrapping a surprise gift gives good vibes during that day.

I am 30 with my own kids and a lot of nieces and nephews. Mostly gift cards to them. Not my own kids obviously.
