Temporary Holiday Emojis - Mr_Kh4os - Dec 21, 2024
Hello all!
I wasn't sure if anyone has done this before but I was hoping it would increase engagement, it just popped into my head so forgive me if there isn't every detail.
For major holidays(Easter/Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas etc) maybe have a community vote a month or so prior then have people submit their emojis and then that will be used for the month or whatever you decide. I don't know if you want to do a byte reward or something along with it but I was just thinking it would encourage people to try and also wouldn't increase any load for staff besides just running the vote thread and you could rotate that every holiday so not the same person is doing it?

I don't understand the meaning. Emojis are available forever. What is meant by "used for the month"?

No worries this was kinda written last minute on my way out the door haha.
I mean they will last the duration of the month, I.E. December 1st - 31st.

We use just system emoji's now so it's not up to us to add them. The list I can edit to show the emoji for a quick click but I don't really think that's necessary.
