Hey there.
So i am a new one here. I was trying to make a post on the market place but it did not allow me. Do I need to upgrade my account to be able to do so ?

From the Help Docs (that I recommend you to read) :
Out of Marketplace
All marketplace-style threads or posts such as buying, selling, trading, offering a paid service, appraising, and auctioning belong to the Marketplace. Users failing to comply will earn a A seven-day posting ban and a warning is the penalty for posting marketplace threads outside of the Market tab. This includes threads with "optional payments" or "not free" remarks.
If you plan to deal on HF, you must post in the marketplace. To be able to post there, you need to be upgraded : https://hackforums.net/upgrade.php
Only selling threads are allowed to be posted by regular members in the "Members sales" section.
Some sections of the marketplace, such as Currency Exchange and Premium Seller are restricted to ub3r members
