how do i set up a silent miner using xmrig which will not be detectable and how do i infect a computer with that? Or do I have to code one up myself? If so, is rust a good language for achieving it?

I think the common miner I see nowadays which is free is XLARig miner. I see them even on hacked machines. lol.

XMRig is a miner that is not silent, and you have to use advanced techniques to stop antivirus from analyzing it.

Well if you want to achieve persistence, I suggest you monitor mouse and keyboard activities. If the machine is idle then that is when you do the deed. It can slow down mining progress but worth it to avoid detection.
Rust, somewhat optimized (depends on the coder) and it is a great language but it has a steep learning curve. If you already know it then that is great else opt for something easy to learn and get something that is open source as a reference.
