Amazon driver leaves 80 packages in the woods - Charlie Sheen - Dec 24, 2024
Once again another story where I first saw it and thought it was a meme until later seeing news articles about it. Completely unacceptable behavior by the driver. If you can't handle it then return the truck back to the warehouse and let them know.
Quote:A “stressed” Massachusetts Amazon delivery driver abandoned about 80 packages in a wooded area, Lakeville, Mass., police said.
At about 2 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, Lakeville Police Sgt. Shawn Robert noticed abandoned items in a wooded area, police said in a statement. Roberts investigated the scene and found three large totes filled with Amazon packages.
Police officers loaded the totes onto a pickup truck and performed an inventory at the Lakeville Police Department. After counting over 80 packages, they contacted a local Amazon distribution center in Middleborough, Mass., to return them. There were no reports of packages being lost or stolen in the area.

This is so ridiculous I don't know if I believe him because why would you do all that work to unload AND then drive back to your vehicle and quit? I will await more on this story XD.

A post woman in my city did it with apparently thousands of packages. Dumped them in the woods. Her mum and dad had a long career in the postal service and got her the job and she just dumped packages all the time because she got too tired she said.

Agreed ha.
I just quit the parcel service recenly.
Right now is definately a trying time, but it is more effort to dump them randomly than just bring them back.
Unless they figured "Empty Truck, no issues when I walk out forever"

Yeah I used to know people who would bounce between USPS and FedEx until they could get into UPS I hope you found something fitting! Lmao right there must be more to this story.

I'm willing to bet the Amazon driver used "stressed" as an excuse and what they were really doing is dumping them there to have their buddies or someone go back at a later time and grab all the packages

Yeah! I guess that actually makes more sense because someone was on here saying it would be just as much work unloading all the packages into the woods as anything else.

Depends on the person who found them. But it doesn't sound like they were hidden very well at all.

Well it can hapen as sometimes people are so stresed out of this job and they can think clear and out of anger they take this radical decision of throwing in the wood or other crazy things
