Is There a Windows 11 Widget to Control Matter Devices? - XtremeDiscount - Dec 29, 2024

Hey HF Community,

With smart home devices becoming more standardized under the Matter protocol, I was wondering if anyone knows if Windows 11 has (or is planning to have) a widget or feature to control Matter devices directly?

It would be awesome to manage smart lights, thermostats, or other Matter-compatible devices right from the desktop.

Has anyone seen any updates or announcements about this?
Are there third-party apps or tools for Windows 11 that offer this functionality?
Maybe there’s a hidden feature or workaround?

I feel like this could be a huge productivity booster for smart home enthusiasts. Let me know what you all think or if you’ve come across anything useful!

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions! 🙌

There may be first-party apps. You'll have to check with the device manufacturer(s). If you don't already have a hub, then it's going to be a rabbit hole.
