now that things are dying down, IDF is releasing info of past missions!

The Israeli Air Force on Thursday revealed details and footage from one of its most daring and complex commando operations ever, in which 120 members of special forces units raided and destroyed an underground Iranian missile manufacturing plant deep in Syria in September.

At the time, the regime of Bashar al-Assad was still in power in Syria, and Israel had not yet launched its devastating campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Some of the details of the September 8 operation previously reported by foreign media outlets — including the name of the raid — are now known to have been wrong, or slightly incorrect.

And what exactly did this accomplish? Considering if there is one jihadist missile factory, you can bet there are a lot more they haven't found. And since the new government of Syria is pro-Russian, I don't see Israel having any more raids in Syria.

I think the new government is pro Syria, and it will end up not being very Russian when the dust settles.

UN asked Israel to leave to help Syria stabilize and I think that’s a great first step towards building trust.

You really need to start paying more attention to the nightly news. The new guy running Syria point blank said he wants the closest ties with Russia. And he's permitting the military bases that Russia has in Syria to continue operating normally. The new Syrian dictator is not asking for western help.

Do you have a source on this specifically?

A lot of their navy left
Soldiers left in mass
Civilian flights from Syria to Russia spiked

Syria is not Russias to claim as their ally in the region , or anyone’s yet. Futures will be decided here.

When jihadists rule a country, there are no guarantees. Its just a return to the dark ages again. This is another Afghanistan all over again.

I hold out hope that we don’t have to take out another Syrian regime, but if they end up supporting jihad, Iran, and Russia then we may have no choice. The fight against evil is righteous.

They wont support Iran, who are shias. And the west is leading a shit propaganda against Iran, with fake news i.e pretending that a crazy girl (that ran away from a psy hospital) is going out in underwear to fight the Mollahs regime...

Im pretty sure they are pro-Syria. Russian soldiers have left en-masse and there are videos of Syrians throwing shit at the motorcade as they left the bases what is more is that the new regime said it welcomes the west. The Assad regime was close with Russia who helped oppress the Syrian people. This is widely known.

Yeah time will tell where their alliances are built...
There are still Russian assets in Syria, and plenty of people will push for Russian influence over western influence. I think that's a bad decision, and Syria would benefit from pushing out Russians, extremist groups, etc. Right now they have to balance internal demands vs external

Western, or Russian, or any other influence has probably not helped.

However, I don't think you can say Syria or Afghanistan are the way they are because of western powers.

Every country is slightly responsible, but it's up to the people there, not anyone else to choose their own destiny.

Its proof, its obvious who is supporting ISIS and the rebels, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaVm9hMNI_g just look at EU top leaders greeting a ISIS member in plain day sight, what are you people blind what is going on? Or dont you wanna realise the countless meaningsless wars like war on Saddam, or ISIS, or Afghanistan is just means to sell weapon and blind you, how the hell is MY country Iran a treath to you, the real treat is Israeli lobbyists that try to brain wash you to bring another war on US taxpayers and destroy the economy of the world and collect on them holding all the funds.

how can we accept jihadists turning allies like we are doing to syria if western democracy is what we are trying to achieve?`The new leader said they will implement sharia laws, this is absurd all leaders supporting them, shows IRAN is right in poointing out that the west is doing doublestandards on international law as always.

Trust me, I know which countries are responsible for putting jihadists in power. The U.S., UK, and France are the main perpetrators. I don't disagree with this at all. Regarding Syria this time around, it was NATO state Turkey who did it and took power away from Assad. But I don't believe it was Turkey's idea alone. Turkey doesn't act without a NATO blessing first. So again, we all know who's responsible and who keeps the world in chaos. I'm not blind to this fact. However, there isn't anything I can do about it either. My government only listens to lobby groups, special interests, and their own greed, which is insatiable. If I could change it, I would. Unfortunately I don't have that power.

Ok thanks for explaining in a very logical matter your point of view!
