US President Joe Biden has attacked Meta for dropping its controversial third-party fact-checking program, stating the move was “completely contrary to what America is about.”
The president addressed the development on Friday during a rare Q&A session with reporters at the White House. He sharply criticized Mark Zuckerberg’s company, the parent of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Threads for the move.
“The whole idea of walking away from fact-checking as well as not reporting anything having to do with discrimination regarding…I find it to be contrary to American justice. Telling the truth matters,” Biden stated, adding the move appeared to be “completely contrary to what America is about.”
“We want to tell the truth. The idea that a billionaire can buy something and say that they won’t fact-check, and then you have millions of people reading it – I think it’s really shameful,” the president asserted.
Meta announced the drastic change to its policies earlier this week, with Zuckerberg admitting the fact-checking service has become “too politically biased” and “has destroyed more trust than they’ve created.”
“What started as a movement to be more inclusive has increasingly been used to shut down opinions and shut out people with different ideas, and it’s gone too far,” the Meta CEO said.
The company now plans to introduce a model similar to the scheme used by Elon Musk’s platform X, allowing users to flag potentially misleading posts and add “community notes” to them for additional context.
Meta has also opted to drop its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and revised its approach to the hiring process that previously took gender and the racial background of applicants into account. The changes have reportedly already started taking effect across the company’s offices. Examples include an order to remove tampons from male bathrooms, as well as transgender and non-binary themes having been taken off the company’s messenger.

Thank God all this woke stuff is starting to be shown the door. I've been waiting for this a long time. But Zuckerberg is no champion of this. He's just doing it because Trump is coming in as president. But Trump won't forget what Zuckerberg did by hiding and suppressing the Hunter Biden crackpipe and whores ordeal. Zuckerberg is just in this for himself and whatever is going to make him more money. But in either case, I'm glad to see the end of woke days. May the trend continue!

Biden was one of the worst presidents in history. Or rather whoever his handlers were because he made some of the worst decisions he could as president. He provoked a war that could have entirely been avoided, he raped the treasury like it was his own personal piggy bank. We have more than enough economic problems at home, issues with infrastructure, manufacturing, jobs, etc, but in Biden and Co.'s opinions it was better to send $100 billion dollars of tax payers money to Ukraine. Fuck helping the millions of Americans that need money. Let's keep the war machine rolling instead. Let's continue killing each other, it's the democratic way right? And oh yeah, the $37 trillion dollars the U.S. is in debt means nothing to Biden. But keep that war rolling because Biden & Co. are making money off of it. But fuck you as the average American tax payer because your money belongs to me says the old geriatric sob.

I was disappointed to see some reporter gave him the idea to give himself a blanket pardon like the kiddo.
I just didn't like how the Justice Department declined to prosecute Biden himself for also having classified documents in his home as Trump did. The Justice Department claimed Biden was too old and senile to prosecute, but they went after Trump on the same exact charges. Now to me this smells like shit because the prosecutors were all in the democratic party. And even though one of theirs was guilty as fuck for the exact same thing, they only went after their political rival and brought charges. The democrats have already shown themselves for what they are.

Well, it goes to show that at least partially, Trump was right about the democrats going on a witch hunt. They tried to prosecute him for something most every president has been guilty of. But no other president except Trump up until that point, had ever been prosecuted for something like that. The democrats had tried every last dirty tactic to prevent Trump from being president again. And it all failed and now blew up in their faces.
