Thread Prefix Filtering & Subforum Consolidation - Hackers - Jan 18, 2025 The concept for thread prefix filtering is to add a dropdown select, that lets us filter by prefix. This could be with frontend JS, but then pagination would be strange if pages do not have a prefix, but the next page does. If there's a way to do it on backend that would be ideal. The second part of this suggestion is that certain sections could have their subforums consolidated further. This would boost activity in main forums. The subs could have their original titles added as prefixes in the main forum that inherits them. The filtering would allow for easy thread discovery if someone wants to drill down into a prior subforum category.
