Oh man what was that thing Kazaa or something ?

I remember Frostwire too temporarily

A lot of times Iโ€™d find manual links hosted on sites, and then people would use rshare or mega or similar

I noticed this the other day. I wasn't sure if it had always been like that, or if it was something new.. Limewire was the shit back in the day.

RIP P2P

i wonder if itโ€™s permanent or if eventually File.io will just redirect to LW. I like that File.io has basic integrations you can use - I made a Telegram bot once that used them to create a custom download link per user.

I didnโ€™t realize Limewire had an easy to use web version like this for sharing though. I might just go straight to them in future .

I'm more interested in this token they're shilling.

Quote:LimeWire Token (LMWR)
LimeWire is Back

LimeWire is back! The iconic file-sharing platform from the 2000s made a major comeback in 2022, evolving into a cutting-edge ecosystem driven by AI and blockchain technology. The new LimeWire allows millions of users and businesses to securely create, upload, and share files of any size across all devices.

LMWR, LimeWire's native utility token, sits at the core of this revamped platform and powers essential parts of the LimeWire ecosystem. LMWR is used for payments and rewards across two key platforms: the LimeWire AI Platform, which enables seamless file sharing, content creation, and collaboration with advanced AI tools, as well as Blocknode, a decentralized GPU infrastructure (DePIN) marketplace that supports AI and computing tasks. With the help of LMWR, LimeWire and Blocknode are reshaping the future of digital content and decentralized computing.

I swear every company is just inserting AI as a buzzterm where they can to try to get money tossed. What utility of AI is needed in a file hosting website?
