No it will happen but only for 4 years. Or until a dem comes in office and gets rid of it. Laws need to be passed for this while reds have control of congress.

Trump's trying to get the Constitution changed to give him 8 years or more.

Nah, what's the logic in it? I don't see why they can't serve as long there are certain standards in place where the transgender person is stable and has been switched over for a certain amount of time etc.

It is a mental illness IMO, so no I do not believe they should be able to be in our military sports etc absolutely ridiculous that it got to this point. Don't take this out of context I don't hate them, I just don't believe it is healthy for them/society/military anything and creates more unnecessary issues.

US military does not need people who are worried about what gender they are to be fighting for our country. There is only two genders, male and female in this world. Simple as that.

No hate intended because I love you, but would you feel differently if the topic wasn't military? Let's say it was banning them from competing in cisgender sports? Most reactions I see is mainly based on the fact that this has to do with the military(not you but friends irl posting) they just hate it so much they can't focus on anything else.

Just to clarify, does this mean that trans should be allowed because the military should avoid getting into politics?
Or do you think that being trans is political in nature just on its own, and should be banned?
I personally think trans should be allowed to join the military.
We should focus on the strongest people, and that might just be a man-to-female soldier, or a female-to-male soldier.
I don't think the gender or sexual preferences of our soldiers are relevant to being productive, successful, and strong.
I think if it's a distraction in any way, that's because the distracted soldiers are undisciplined, and that suggests the flaw is with them - not with the transpeople.
